Joining With Others to Meet Community Needs
These past few weeks, we have recognized our newest MVO Board Members, spotlighting a few of the newest faces to join our leadership. This week, we meet Mitch White.
Mitch is owner of Diamond Gasoline Stations, Inc., “a family-owned and operated business that has served Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida for the past 50 years,” distributing top quality gasoline and diesel fuel to our area.
Mitch was born and raised in the Atmore, AL area and still lives there today. He and his wife, Gina, have been married for 26 years and have been members of Olive Baptist Church for nearly 3 years. Mitch and Gina have 3 children – Clay, Noah, and Elise.
Mitch joined the Ministry Village at Olive Board in April 2021. In addition to serving the community through MVO, Mitch recently served on the board for the Alabama chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
“I have really been impressed with all of the ways that Ministry Village reaches out to the community,” said Mitch. ”The new shower ministry (Showers of Blessing) will be a great way to minister to the homeless community. To me, the most amazing things that Ministry Village does are done through the Charis House. I have heard so many great stories about lives that have been forever changed by that program.”
“I am honored to be part of a ministry that is meeting so many needs in so many different ways.”
Thank you, Mitch, for joining with Ministry Village to help care for our community and change lives for Jesus!
The Ministry Village at Olive team wishes to thank all of our board members who serve by providing leadership and support to our ministry. The Ministry Village Board of Directors are Dr. Stephen Newsome (Chair), Patricia Clay, Kathy Clements, Jared Gann, Clint Holmes, Terrell Kelly, Dr. Larry Morris, Bobby Price, Jr., Jaime Principe, Justin Tyner, and Mitch White.
