Sharing God’s Love Through the Early Learning Center
Employee Spotlight: Paige Morton
In early 2019, Paige Morton knew she needed to make a change, but she was unsure what her next step should be. She left her previous job and went to her church to pray. She asked God what His plan was for her, and asked Him to lead her where He wanted her to be. She immediately felt led to visit the Ministry Village Early Learning Center and ask if they needed any help. ELC Director Kristi Zagar says Paige walked in that day and was an immediate answer to prayer. Paige was soon hired as the Assistant Director at the ELC where she has served since early 2019.
Originally from Louisiana, Paige has lived in Northwest Florida since the mid-90s. With an Associate’s Degree focused on Early Childhood Education and Accounting, Paige has worked in childcare since 2003 and has served as both an Assistant Director and Director at childcare facilities. “I originally thought I would be an accountant; however, God had other plans by putting a call in my heart to work in Early Childhood Education,” says Paige. “This is more than educating children to me. It is an opportunity to minister to the children and families we serve. I love what I do.”
Licensed by both the Department of Children and Families and the Association of Christian Schools International, and an approved provider for Florida’s free Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) through the Escambia County Early Learning Coalition, the Ministry Village ELC provides Christ-centered, high quality, early learning childcare programs for children from 3 months of age to pre-kindergarten. It is the ELC’s goal to nurture each child and help them develop as a whole person – emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically. Paige has had numerous opportunities to pray for the families she serves, and has been honored to have many gospel conversations with a variety of people over the years. “The best part of my job is the kids, of course; but helping the parents navigate through the crazy job of parenting is a privilege.”
Paige has been married to Tim since 1991, and has a daughter named Katie, who she calls her miracle baby. After struggling through infertility procedures for many years, Paige and Tim reached the decision to stop the procedures and adopt a child instead. They were suddenly surprised to learn that Paige was pregnant with their little miracle Katie. Time and again through her life, Paige has learned that putting herself in God’s hands is the best and most blessed way to live. Her faith comes through in every interaction. Paige attends Hillcrest Church, and is a member of Olive’s Bowling League along with her family. She loves to sew and craft, and shares her abundance of love with 2 cats and a puppy.
Thank you, Paige, for listening to God’s direction and seeking His Will for you at the Ministry Village ELC. You have blessed our team and the ELC families every day with your dedication and servant’s heart. We are blessed to have you as part of the Ministry Village family!

Ministry Village Early Learning Center
Situated on the campus of Olive Baptist Church, the Ministry Village Early Learning Center (ELC) is conveniently located near the corner of Davis Highway and Olive Road. Each of the 11 classrooms within the nearly 9,500 square-foot building was designed to accommodate the specific needs of a particular age and stage of development, with in-room handwashing stations and in-room private bathroom facilities — complete with child-size toilets and sinks — to make it easy for children to learn independence. The Ministry Village Early Learning Center is licensed under the Department of Children and Families (DCF License #C01ES0341) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI #648587) and is an approved provider for Florida’s free 4-year-old Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK).
