The Program:

Individual Recovery

Our primary care is 12 months for all clients. Each lady is offered structure, a disciplined curriculum, and activities focusing on individual recovery. We recognize the reality of the time it takes to embrace the root issues of addiction, and we tailor each woman’s program to her own journey. Participation in the Charis House program is a privilege and requires accountability. It requires a willingness to change and adhere to a controlled, strict, and disciplined environment, allowing life-changing experiences to happen.

Faith-Based Foundation

This is a faith-based recovery program. We believe a client’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the foundation for healing and wholeness. Ladies attend daily classes with a Christ-centered curriculum, weekly counseling with a licensed counselor, group counseling, and support group meetings. Clients are required to attend church multiple times weekly. We understand that everyone has made poor decisions, and sometimes those decisions land us in a place we never intended. It is essential to realize that God uses programs like the Charis House to extend a way out.

Community Living

The Charis House is a residential recovery center. Clients live in a modular home with 6-13 other women. They are assigned weekly chores such as cleaning and cooking. Trained house managers with many years of combined experience monitor the home 24 hours a day. Ladies are required to attend work therapy or volunteer hours. Restoration is a core goal in our program. Ladies are allowed visitation twice a month and phone calls twice weekly to pre-approved family members. All of our clients are taught and expected to conduct themselves as mature, responsible, and loving women of God.
