Early Learning Center

The Early Learning Center (ELC) teaches children between ages 3 months - 4 years old. Our goal first is to instill Godly character into each child who attends our school, and we will be using the Creative Curriculum, as well as running our classrooms in play-based centers.
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Qualifications: High school or equivalent & 1-year childcare experience.

Charis House
We are currently hiring: Director of Charis House Women’s Residential Addiction Recovery
Location: Ministry Village at Olive in Pensacola, Fl
Nature of work:
This is responsible professional administrative work directing the Charis House Ladies Recovery Program with the Ministry Village at Olive. This position reports to the Executive Director of Ministry Village at Olive, Inc.
An employee in this position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating work of the Charis House employees and clients, as well as the programs activities. Work involves the application of professional and administrative knowledge. General direction is received from the Executive Director. Work is reviewed through periodic conferences and/or the evaluation of plans, reports, and accomplishments.
Core Responsibilities:
Plans, coordinates, and directs the activities of the Ladies Recovery Ministry.
Formulates guidelines and procedures in consultation with subordinate employees and with the concurrence of the executive director.
Selects personnel and participates in the training and development of staff and clients. Has responsibility for other personnel matters (i.e., disciplinary action, counseling for clients and staff, etc.)
Conduct/oversee intake for clients, including answering questions, screening applications, interviewing, and selection for program clients.
Prepares budget estimates and monitors expenditures as required.
Meets with community and provides information regarding the Charis House.
Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to improve the program.
Monitor progress of clients
Research materials used by the program to insure sound Biblical doctrine for personal growth and development.
Work with probation officers for those clients that are on probation.
Conduct staff meetings with house managers and counselors to discuss the concerns and progress for the clients.
Plan graduations as needed.
Build relationships with public defenders, attorney’s, jails, prisons, other similar programs.
Send letters of client’s acceptance to those that need it.
Answer and return calls, emails, inquires in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential records and files for each client.
Ensure transportation needs are met for each client. (doctors, probation, court, etc)
Monitor all incoming and outgoing mail and phone calls.
Teach classes as needed.
Enforce rules established by program and give correction to clients with Godly love and compassion. Document infractions, review rules and consequences with clients.
Perform other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, and methods pertaining to drug recovery for women.
Ability to teach Biblically based curriculum.
Must work ethically, professionally, and according to Scriptures.
Must practice discretion, respect, integrity, dignity, and confidentially using Scripture based principles.
Have the ability to make critical and routine decisions.
Provide leadership and supervision without bias or favoritism to clients.
Must support the goals and vision of MVO/ Charis House.
Must form effective, working relationship with court officials, administrators, subordinates, clients, staff, family, and public.
Continue Education related to addiction recovery, C.E.U.’s.
Qualifications:
Positive attitude, strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Compatible theology with the Southern Baptist Convention.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Valid driver license and insurable under MVO/CH policy.
Agrees with all the policies and procedures of MVO.
Skilled in communication, directions, leadership, self-directed, organization.
Proficient in the use of a computer. Word, outlook, excel, etc.
Pass a background check.
Self-motivated, passionate, goal oriented.
The ability to provide a balanced approach to treating women in addiction.
