Tender Hearts Caring Hands
What is Tender Hearts Caring Hands?
Tender Hearts Caring Hands reaches into Escambia and Santa Rosa County communities to provide physical and spiritual needs to the underprivileged and underserved population.
We provide groceries and Project Reconnect for individuals in need. We provide weekly lunch bags and assistance with power bills.
We aim to help the growing population of those in need and reach each client with gospel conversations.
Food Pantry
Our food pantry services are offered to families every six months. They must have an ID and a Social Security card for each person in the family in order to receive a box.
Transient bags are given to those without a kitchen to cook in, every Thursday, and each person must have an ID in order to receive a bag.
Project Reconnect
Project Reconnect is a program that offers Greyhound bus tickets, one way, for those seeking to reconnect with family, or to participate in recovery programs outside of Escambia County. This program is a one-time deal, per person and requires a state issued ID or homeless ID in order to receive the assistance. The application can be accessed by clinking the link or by calling Tender Hearts, Caring Hands.
Keep the Lights On
"Keep the Lights On" is our FPL assistance for past due power bills, and it's available to those with active accounts, once every two years. Assistance is not available for deposits that are still owed. This service requires individuals to have had a viable source of income within the last year. The application process starts with a telephone screening which can be done by calling Tender Hearts, Caring Hands.
